Research Fellowship in Computational Biology

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated researcher to engage in innovative projects focused on computational and developmental biology. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Developing novel algorithms to analyze cellular differentiation pathways in embryos using time-resolved single-cell RNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, and lineage tracing methodologies.
- Employing machine learning techniques to integrate spatial transcriptomics with various data types, including single-cell transcriptomes and advanced microscopy.
- Conducting comparative studies of mouse embryonic development alongside other species such as humans, fish, and birds, as well as synthetic embryo models.
- Analyzing and contrasting synthetic organoid development with in vivo embryonic processes.
- Collaborating closely with experimental teams to enhance research outcomes.
- Actively participating in a multidisciplinary team that includes data scientists and both computational and experimental biologists.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in computational or natural sciences.
- A strong emphasis on computational or quantitative disciplines (e.g., computational biology, bioinformatics, mathematics).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R; experience in developing efficient and reusable software is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration with team members and scientific partners.
- Solid foundation in statistical analysis and familiarity with contemporary machine learning techniques.
- Capability to work autonomously and tackle complex analytical challenges.
