Senior Machine Learning Research Scientist

Pfizer's Machine Learning Hub is seeking a highly skilled machine learning researcher to design and implement innovative solutions for accelerating drug discovery. As a member of our team, you will leverage your expertise in machine learning and computational biology to extract insights from large datasets and drive the development of new therapeutic approaches.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement advanced machine learning models for analyzing heterogeneous biological data, including genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics.
- Advance the internal machine learning tech stack to address challenges in biomedical, chemical, and 'omics data.
- Research and design learning algorithms for analysis problems related to drug discovery.
- Collaborate with a highly interdisciplinary team to conceive, execute, and evaluate studies and experiments.
- Present results to scientists in other functions and strengthen external visibility through publishing and presenting work in reputable journals and conferences.
- PhD in Biology, Computational Biology, Statistics, Machine Learning, or a related technical discipline.
- 2+ years of relevant research experience in developing machine/deep learning-based solutions and a sincere interest in computational life sciences.
- Hands-on experience in handling, processing, integrating, and analyzing large heterogenous biological data sets related to industrial drug discovery research.
- Proven expertise in developing machine learning for computational biology.
- Strong publication record and demonstrated contributions to the field.
- Solid expertise with ML libraries such as PyTorch and Lightning, as well as programming skills in Python.
- Familiarity with GPU computing and collaborative coding practices.
- Passion for data and ability to take ideas from prototype to production.
