Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Product Safety Engineer at ICE Engineering Services GmbH, you will independently conduct comprehensive safety assessments for both systems and aircraft. Your role will involve the creation of essential certification and safety of flight documentation for various programs, including:

• Extensive experience in reliably generating and reviewing safety calculations and documentation, covering all aspects from safety of flight to certification across different OEMs, from the initial aircraft design phase to entry into service.

• In-depth technical expertise in aircraft integration and systems, including but not limited to flight control, avionics, engines, hydraulics, landing gear, brakes, and electrical wiring interconnection systems (EWIS).

• Mastery of safety standards and methodologies such as ARP4754, ARP4761, PRA, Zonal Safety Analysis, CCMR, AFHA, SFHA, PASA, PSSA, SSA, Safety of Flight, FRACAS, FMEA, FMECA, and DAL Allocations.

• Define safety requirements within the broader context of aircraft integration, EWIS, and system integration.

• Lead and facilitate large-scale technical integration meetings with key aircraft systems, flight physics, and structural engineering teams to address and resolve safety concerns promptly.

Qualifications


• Master's Degree in Aviation or a related field.

• Over 15 years of experience in aircraft safety within major OEMs, aircraft suppliers, or consulting roles.

• At least 10 years of experience in signing safety certification documents.

• Minimum of 5 years in OEM safety teams as a Senior Safety Engineer.

• At least 5 years of experience in signing safety of flight documents for flight test vehicles.

• Proficient in training personnel on:

• Safety Tools (e.g., CAFTA or equivalent)

• Verification and Validation Tools (e.g., DOORS or equivalent)

• Design Tools (e.g., CATIA V5)

• ARP 4754 & 4761

• DAL Allocations

• DO-178B and DO-254

• FRACAS

• FME(C)A

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity to work autonomously and communicate effectively.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in German is advantageous.
