Role Overview

As a Senior Product Safety Engineer at ICE Engineering Services GmbH, you will be responsible for executing comprehensive safety analyses for both systems and aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Independently conduct and validate safety calculations and documentation, ensuring compliance from aircraft conception through to entry into service.
  • Develop and compile all necessary certification and safety of flight documentation for various programs.
  • Utilize your extensive technical expertise in aircraft systems integration, including but not limited to flight control, avionics, and hydraulic systems.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in safety standards and methodologies such as ARP4754, ARP4761, PRA, and Zonal Safety Analysis.
  • Lead and facilitate large-scale technical meetings aimed at resolving safety-related challenges across major aircraft systems.
  • Provide expert guidance on certification knowledge, particularly regarding CS25 and CS29 regulations.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master’s Degree in aviation or a related field.
  • Over 15 years of experience in aircraft safety within major OEMs or consulting environments.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in signing safety certification documents.
  • At least 5 years of experience in senior safety engineering roles within OEM safety teams.
  • Proven experience in signing safety of flight documents for flight test vehicles.

Additional Skills:

  • Proficiency in safety and verification tools (e.g., CAFTA, DOORS).
  • Familiarity with design tools such as CATIA V5.
  • In-depth knowledge of ARP 4754 & 4761, DAL Allocations, DO-178B, and DO-254.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with excellent communication skills.
  • Fluency in English, with German language skills considered an advantage.
