Position Overview

In this role, reporting to the Sales Manager DACH, you will focus on cultivating business in South-West Germany (Hessen, RLP, Baden-Württemberg, Saarland). Your responsibilities will include engaging with researchers, laboratory managers, life sciences academia, and procurement managers to understand their requirements and collaborate with various teams to deliver appropriate solutions.

A background in Life Sciences (Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Health Sciences, etc.) is crucial for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

Manage Existing Accounts

  • Act as the primary liaison for all client inquiries and requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure optimal solutions for clients and enhance processes to mitigate potential issues.
  • Fortify client relationships to establish enduring partnerships, negotiate contracts, and identify up-selling and cross-selling opportunities.

Business Acquisition

  • Develop a strategic plan, with input from the Sales Manager, to target assigned accounts.
  • Initiate connections with relevant stakeholders within the assigned accounts.
  • Lead the sales process by arranging meetings, understanding account needs, and finalizing sales.

Market and Customer Insights

  • Contribute to identifying industry trends through customer feedback and collaboration with internal teams.
  • Participate in relevant conferences across Europe in partnership with our European Event Manager.

Your primary tools will include CRM systems and your networking skills. You will maintain precise records in CRM to monitor contacts, responsibilities, corporate updates, and interactions.

This role necessitates regular travel within the designated territory to meet clients and attend events, along with occasional travel outside the territory for corporate meetings.

Candidate Profile

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology, biomedical sciences, health sciences, or a related field. Knowledge in RNA & Nucleic Acid, Cell & Gene Therapy, Immuno-Oncology, and/or Bioproduction is preferred.
  • Fluency in English and German.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of sales experience is essential.
  • Soft skills: autonomy, results-driven, customer-oriented, perseverance, ability to engage with diverse contacts, strong communication skills, and proactivity.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems is required.
