Role Overview

The Key Account Sales Director is responsible for driving revenue growth by managing relationships with new and existing key accounts within a designated market. This role involves understanding business challenges, identifying sales opportunities, and executing strategic sales plans to achieve financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough research to identify and develop a pipeline of potential clients in the assigned territory. For existing accounts, perform analysis to enhance penetration strategies and client engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including major financial institutions, by executing a comprehensive relationship management plan.
  • Create and manage a Strategic Sales Plan (SSP) for top prospects, ensuring alignment with internal resources to facilitate successful sales closures.
  • Lead the design and modification of solutions tailored to meet client needs, while providing insights into the transition process and expected outcomes.
  • Oversee the sales project plan, coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely and effective client communication and engagement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and developments, providing consultative insights to clients regarding current and emerging payment technologies.
  • Negotiate master agreements and service level agreements, presenting terms to leadership for approval.
  • Manage the sales presentation process, ensuring objectives are met and follow-up actions are executed effectively.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in sales or account management.
  • Experience in the payments or financial services industry.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business or related field.
