Impactful Engagement From the Start
This position is responsible for cultivating enduring relationships with pivotal clients and ensuring that these collaborations yield robust and sustainable outcomes for all stakeholders involved. The primary objective of this role is to achieve sales targets, profit margins, and distribution goals assigned to the sector. The dedicated accounts will be overseen directly by a team of four account directors who will report to this position. This role will subsequently report to the Senior National Retail Manager, who in turn reports to the Sales Executive.
This is a remote position that can be performed from anywhere in Germany, with the expectation of attending in-person meetings every couple of months.
What You Can Anticipate
Strategically oversees assigned accounts, budget, and resources provided, maximizing effectiveness and impact Collaborates closely with the Senior National Retail Manager and other internal partners on the development of business and portfolio strategies, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts, trade agreements, pricing structures, and profit margins Proactively recommends actions to adapt to market changes Cultivates a strong rapport with clients and comprehends their decision-making processes Facilitates account management by coordinating sales activities and client interactions through effective leadership and communication with other departments to ensure clients' needs are met Ensures the implementation of account strategies including volume, promotional initiatives, visibility, logistics, and financial metrics along with KPIs for assessing outcomes Negotiates and finalizes annual and seasonal commercial contracts with clients Works closely with Finance to oversee annual budgets Provides strong leadership and guidance to a team of four Account Directors Supports the organization's sales planning, management of discount expenditures, sales performance, reporting, and budgeting processesWhat You Bring to the Table
Experience in Key Account Management within the FMCG sector, particularly with national clients; experience with major retailers is a significant advantage Proficiency in both English and German Experience in team leadership Proven capability to build and maintain an effective network and relationships Extensive sales experience across various wholesale and retail settings, with the ability to quickly identify customer and channel needs and leverage data insights to drive growth In-depth experience in customer negotiations at a national level and a solid understanding of the German retail landscape Self-motivated with a proven ability to identify challenges and projects, plan and prioritize effectively, and manage multiple initiatives to completion within set timelines Strong Business AcumenWho We Are
