Desktop Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at Primemissions GmbH. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for desktop computers and peripherals. You will work closely with end-users to resolve hardware and software issues, install and configure software applications, and ensure the smooth operation of desktop systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktop computers, including hardware and software issues
  • Install and configure software applications to meet business needs
  • Respond to help desk tickets and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to diagnose and resolve escalated technical issues
  • Assist with the setup and deployment of new desktop systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on desktop systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Train end-users on the proper use and operation of hardware and software systems
  • Document and track support activities and resolutions to improve technical knowledge and processes
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements to ensure Primemissions GmbH remains at the forefront of innovation

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Desktop Support Specialist or similar technical role
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and hardware components, including peripherals and networking equipment
  • Experience with desktop imaging and deployment tools, such as Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with other IT professionals to achieve business objectives
  • Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician, are highly desirable
