Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Technical Sales Engineer to enhance our sales efforts. This role is crucial in driving the success of our clients and sales personnel by conducting technical assessments, showcasing product capabilities, and facilitating technical workshops and Proof of Concepts.

This position operates on a hybrid work model, blending both in-office and remote responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct engaging business and technical presentations, demonstrations, and discussions with clarity
  • Offer initial technical support during the pre-sales process for various opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with key clients and partners, comprehend their needs, and propose innovative solutions
  • Effectively position our technology against competitors in the market
  • Represent our brand and products at industry events, including conferences, tech summits, and trade shows
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience with ease
  • Enhance and create technical documentation to aid clients in understanding our offerings
  • Collaborate across departments including Product Management, Sales, Development, Support, Engineering, and Marketing
  • Provide professional responses to customer RFPs and RFIs
  • Draft Statements of Work (SOW) for Professional Services as needed
Candidate Profile
  • Willingness to travel 30-50%
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, computer science, or related fields
  • 3+ years of experience in technical sales or sales engineering
  • Exceptional presentation skills and professional demeanor
  • Strong technical knowledge
  • Ability to build trust with clients
  • Capability to influence key decision-makers
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong work ethic
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management software (Salesforce)
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Fluency in both German and English
