Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Presales Engineer to enhance our sales efforts. This role is vital in ensuring the success of our clients and sales personnel by conducting technical assessments, showcasing product capabilities, and facilitating technical workshops.

This position operates in a hybrid work model, allowing for both in-office and remote contributions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct engaging business and technical presentations, demonstrations, and discussions with clarity and effectiveness.
  • Offer initial technical support throughout the pre-sales process for various opportunities.
  • Build and nurture relationships with significant clients and partners, gaining insights into their environments and presenting innovative solutions.
  • Strategically position our technology in relation to competitors within the industry.
  • Represent our offerings and brand at industry events, including conferences, tech summits, and trade shows.
  • Interpret complex technical concepts for a non-technical audience.
  • Enhance and create technical documentation to aid clients in comprehending our products and services.
  • Collaborate across various departments, including Product Management, Sales, Development, Support, Engineering, and Marketing.
  • Prepare professional responses to customer RFPs and RFIs.
  • Draft Statements of Work (SOW) for Professional Services as needed.
Candidate Profile
  • Willingness to travel 30-50% of the time.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related sales field.
  • Over 3 years of experience in technical sales or sales engineering.
  • Exceptional presentation skills and professional demeanor.
  • Strong technical knowledge and aptitude.
  • Proven ability to establish trust with clients.
  • Capability to influence key decision-makers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong inclination towards problem-solving and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management software (Salesforce).
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Fluency in both German and English.
