Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Presales Engineer to enhance our sales efforts. This role is crucial in ensuring the success of our clients and sales personnel by conducting technical assessments, providing product demonstrations, and facilitating workshops.

This position operates on a hybrid work model, allowing for both in-office and remote work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct business and technical presentations, demonstrations, and discussions with clarity and effectiveness.
  • Offer initial technical support during the pre-sales process for various opportunities.
  • Build relationships with key clients and partners, gaining insights into their environments and proposing innovative solutions.
  • Accurately position our technology against competitors in the market.
  • Represent our brand at industry events, including conferences, tech summits, and trade shows.
  • Translate complex technical concepts for a non-technical audience.
  • Enhance and create technical documentation to assist clients in understanding our offerings.
  • Collaborate across departments including Product Management, Sales, Development, Support, Engineering, and Marketing.
  • Prepare professional responses to customer RFPs / RFIs.
  • Draft Statements of Work (SOW) for Professional Services as needed.
Candidate Profile
  • Willingness to travel 30-50% of the time.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, computer science, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years in technical sales or sales engineering roles.
  • Exceptional presentation skills and professional demeanor.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding.
  • Proven ability to build trust with clients.
  • Capability to influence key decision-makers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong work ethic.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management software (Salesforce).
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Fluency in both German and English.
