Intermediate Network Administrator

Position: Network Administrator – Intermediate – TS/SCI Required

As a Network Administrator - Intermediate, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the operational capabilities of our clients. Your expertise will be vital in supporting the mission of the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM).
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of the local area network.
- Evaluate contractor products to identify the best solutions for company needs, facilitating the procurement and installation of necessary hardware and software.
- Manage network performance and uphold security protocols.
- Implement and enforce security measures across the network.
- Install and configure all network software.
- Assess, develop, and maintain telecommunications systems.
- Troubleshoot network issues and establish network policies and standards to align with organizational objectives.
- Provide training to users on network operations.
- Administer networking hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Possess a solid understanding of fiber and copper-based Ethernet technologies.
- Monitor and address hardware and software issues using various testing tools.
- Ensure proper installation and configuration of network hardware and software.
- Deliver technical support and training to end-users.
- Manage network security and perform data backups.
- Conduct complex server maintenance and manage user accounts on the network.
- Resolve issues related to network infrastructure and components.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's Degree with 7 years of experience or Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience.
- Preferred Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of network troubleshooting and support techniques.
- Familiarity with routers, switches, and related network hardware and software.
- Proficient in desktop operating systems and applications.
- Clearance Level: TS/SCI.
- Required Certifications:
- DoD M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification.
- IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent.
- Computing Environment certification: CCNA or CCNA-Security.
- Additional Requirements:
- Candidates must be willing to obtain a CI Polygraph for specific positions.
- Physical demands may include lifting IT hardware and performing moderately strenuous activities.
- Travel may be necessary to fulfill mission requirements.
