Network Administrator

GDIT is seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator to join our team in Wiesbaden, Germany. As a key member of our Enterprise Mission Information Technology Services (EMITS) program, you will be responsible for supervising and ensuring the smooth operation of various network infrastructures, including NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and other critical systems.
Key Responsibilities- Network Management: Implement important network improvements and expansions, focusing on core routing, switching, and network security.
- Problem-Solving: Analyze requirements, monitor network activity, and tackle security issues by creating and implementing customized solutions for complex network environments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with system and security teams to provide high-level network support, guaranteeing the reliable and secure functioning of crucial networks.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in Cisco Umbrella DNS services and other network management tools.
- Training and Guidance: Provide technical training and guidance to Help Desk staff and other departments.
- Procurement: Collaborate with vendors on designing and setting up new network systems.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on certifications to meet changing mission and operational needs.
- Education: High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of relevant experience, or higher education with equivalent experience.
- Security Clearance: DoD Secret security clearance mandatory; Top Secret clearance preferred.
- Certifications: CCNA or similar industry certification. IAT Level II certification or higher as per DOD M requirements.
- Skills and Experience: Proficiency in Cisco ISE, Firepower Management Center, and other network management tools. Demonstrated capability in managing diverse network systems, including classified and unclassified setups.
- Eligibility: Eligibility for German TESA.
- Higher Certifications: Higher certifications such as CCNP or above.
- Advanced Networking: Experience in advanced networking topics like URL/Network filtering, Geo-Blocking, and virtualization technologies.
- Network Diagrams: Proficiency in crafting intricate network diagrams and supporting cybersecurity accreditation processes.
- Security Setups: Knowledge of ACLs, Route Maps, ports/protocols, and advanced security setups.
