About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at Leibniz Universität Hannover. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry in various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate university-wide collaborative research projects, collaborative research centers, and priority programs.
  • Process and preliminary accounting of the institute's invoices and monitor budget funds in SAP.
  • Provide consulting services to the institute's executive committee on budget matters and create overviews and presentations for board meetings.
  • Support the institute's management in developing and implementing a strategy for public relations and external representation in the institute's research area.

Requirements

  • Completed professional training in administration (Verwaltungsfachangestellte / Verwaltungsfachangestellter or Verwaltungswirtin / Verwaltungswirt) and passed the corresponding examination (Verwaltungsprüfung I) or eligible for career group 1 - entry level 2 within the field general service (Allgemeine Dienste).
  • Equivalent professional training.
  • Reliable, committed, and independent work ethics, organizational talent, resilience, and the willingness to continually adapt to new or changing tasks.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Fluent German and English language skills.
  • Proficiency in office software, particularly MS Office (Excel, Word), email, and calendar.
  • Experience with website maintenance (e.g., TYPO) and SAP-supported applications (accounting and personnel management) is desirable.
  • Experience with administrative procedures in a state authority (e.g., university) or generally in as a secretary or assistant is preferable.
