The Role & Responsibilities

Every day, we face the challenge of making a difference in the world, and the Senior Communications Specialist role will contribute to this mission:

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive strategy for (digital) media at the national level in alignment with corporate headquarters;
  • Crafting journalistic content (press releases, blogs, posts) within the healthcare/pharmaceutical context;
  • Designing digital platforms and communities for Viatris in Germany to engage with relevant stakeholders and the public on health topics, while also facilitating internal communication with employees through key channels for news and information, and promoting social engagement;
  • Identifying current topics and managing thematic coordination;
  • Operating within a matrix organization and overseeing external service providers;
  • Establishing and managing various online and social media channels both content-wise and technically;
  • Daily management of channels and optimization of content strategy through KPI monitoring, trend analysis, and more.

Qualifications & Experience

We are seeking a candidate who possesses an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills, and experiences:

  • A completed degree in communications, media studies, or journalism;
  • A passion for highly regulated and complex health communication from pharmaceutical companies with Rx products;
  • Approximately 4 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Creativity for integrated, cross-media, and interconnected communication with diverse content strategies;
  • Proficiency in digital media monitoring, analytics, SEA, and SEO, along with experience in managing complex digital projects;
  • A results-oriented, action-driven personality with excellent communication skills and a team spirit;
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and openness to new ideas;
  • Fluent in German and proficient in English.
