Job Title: Senior Business Development Manager for Amazon Smart Vehicles

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Amazon Smart Vehicles. As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in recruiting and engaging automotive manufacturers to drive revenue and increase our reach to customers in vehicles.

About the Role

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for influencing and building relationships with top automotive manufacturers to drive revenue and increase our reach to customers in vehicles. You will have a proven track record of engaging with senior leadership, engineering, commercial, and procurement teams at automotive manufacturers, hunting, owning, and executing automotive software deals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, negotiate, and close business with automotive manufacturers for ASV's product and services.
  • Interact with legal, commercial, project management, and technical teams inside Amazon.
  • Brief Amazon executive teams on progress in adopting Alexa and related services.
  • Build relationships and interface with all levels of automotive manufacturers, dealing with senior executives, commercial managers, and technical managers.
Requirements
  • Professional experience in the automotive industry, closing strategic and complex deals.
  • Several years of professional experience in Business Development, Corporate Development, Product Management/Product Marketing, Partner Management, or Engineering Leadership.
  • Experience with business models, contractual setups, and distributing software/services.
  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements.
  • Extraordinary business writing skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and managing successful large-scale and complex partnerships.
  • Experience with complex automotive software.
  • Solid experience working cross-functionally with technical products and teams, understanding technical details.
  • Strong analytical orientation; comfortable using data to make decisions.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate with and influence executives, and both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience driving multiple tasks in highly ambiguous environments and decision processes.
  • Advanced degree or MBA preferred.
