Central Europe Product Compliance Manager

Role Overview:

Are you dedicated to ensuring the safety and regulatory adherence of chemical products? Do you excel at navigating intricate regulations and leading cross-functional teams? If this resonates with you, Master Builders Solutions presents a compelling opportunity for you as a Central Europe Product Compliance Manager. This essential position places you at the forefront of our regulatory and product compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence and supporting our operational units across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Adherence: Guarantee compliance for all chemical products within the DACH region by interpreting national regulations for chemical substances and products.
  • Communication and Coordination: Assist Central Europe operational units with the dissemination of product compliance and regulatory information, including training, coordination, and execution of global standards and guidelines.
  • Local and Regional Coordination: Serve as the primary contact for coordinating and addressing product-specific inquiries related to national and European chemical regulations. This encompasses managing regulations such as "Chemikalienverbotsverordnungen," microplastic and nanomaterials requirements, REACH & ECHA regulations, among others.
  • Expertise in Swiss Regulations: Specifically oversee product compliance for Switzerland, coordinating inquiries related to Swiss chemical regulations, product notifications, VOC regulation assessments, substance registration, and SVT.
  • Marketing Assistance: Manage product-specific inquiries related to national marketing regulations, including "Bauprodukteverordnung" and "Drinking water directive," and oversee commodity code generation.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Collaborate with the global Sustainability team to develop product ecology certifications.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Maintain strong connections with central functions, local operations, product management, and marketing teams.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Stay updated on chemical regulations impacting the Central Europe region through active participation in regulatory trade associations.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Master’s degree in chemistry or a related discipline.
  • Professional Experience: At least 3 years in the chemical sector, ideally in a comparable role.
  • Skills Required:
  • In-depth knowledge of national and international chemical legislation, particularly concerning Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams within a matrix organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with CH RPC tool is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in German and English; additional languages are beneficial.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Self-driven with a proactive attitude towards challenges.
