Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Product Safety Assistant (m/f/d) to join our Product Safety team in Germany.
- Ensure the safe utilization of our products while adhering to compliance standards to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Independently prepare safety data sheets and manage classification and labeling in accordance with REACH and GHS/CLP regulations.
- Conduct dangerous goods classification (ADR/RID/ADN, IMDG, IATA-DGR).
- Evaluate and implement marketability restrictions due to regulatory requirements, including Dual Use considerations.
- Manage master data within SAP BOne Hana.
- Oversee the substance inventory.
- Provide consultation to both internal and external stakeholders on product stewardship matters.
- Possess a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field; experienced professionals in product stewardship are also encouraged to apply.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in product stewardship and/or regulatory affairs.
- In-depth knowledge of CLP regulations, UN-GHS, and the preparation of EU safety data sheets.
- Proficient in software applications, particularly SDS compilation software, ideally CHEMDOX, SAP BOne Hana, and MS Office.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; proficiency in German is advantageous.
- Demonstrated commitment to environmental, health, safety, and sustainability principles.
