ABOUT THE POSITION

At FRAMOS, a globally recognized imaging company with a diverse team of over 180 professionals, we are seeking a dedicated Technical Imaging Specialist with a focus on Optics. This position is essential for enhancing FRAMOS's capabilities in Optics technology, sharing insights, and contributing technical knowledge to the success of various departments, including Sales, Marketing, and Engineering.

Reporting to the Head of Technical Solutions & Support, you will collaborate with a small team of global imaging specialists.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop an Optics competence center aimed at disseminating knowledge among FRAMOS employees.
  • Assist in selecting appropriate lens options, primarily within the C/S-Mount range, ensuring timely delivery that meets customer specifications and sensor compatibility.
  • Define Imaging Lab requirements and interpret results related to quality assessments of Optics and Optical Modules.
  • Act as the primary customer for New Product Introduction related to optics.
  • Provide in-depth technical support to team members and colleagues from various departments to enhance their efficiency.
  • Participate in customer meetings to address advanced optics technology inquiries and deliver tailored technical solutions.
  • Facilitate technical consultations and training sessions for FRAMOS peers and clients to elevate their optics knowledge through various formats such as webinars and knowledge base articles.
  • Establish specifications and testing criteria for custom and semi-custom lenses.
  • Enhance quality strategies and production standards within the optics division.
  • Evaluate lens suppliers within the FRAMOS supplier network.
  • Lead projects and engage in technical discussions with lens vendors.
  • Conduct market research to continuously improve and expand the optics portfolio.
  • Stay informed about technological advancements to maintain a competitive edge in optics solutions.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Experience in frontend Optics, particularly with C/S-Mount optics compatible with industrial CMOS Image Sensors.
  • Educational background in an Optics-related field, preferably Applied Physics with a specialization in Optics.
  • Understanding of fundamental optical parameters and their interdependencies, including MTF, focal length, image circle, aperture, aberrations, CRA, and shading.
  • Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Enthusiastic about imaging and optics.
  • Desire to fulfill a specialist role while contributing to the success of other departments through knowledge sharing and technical tasks.
  • Aim to work in a dynamic international environment alongside imaging experts.
