As a key member of our global supply chain team, reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in sourcing essential goods, services, and materials in a timely and efficient manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate the organization's requirements for goods, services, and materials by collaborating with various departments to understand both current and future demands.
- Generate and manage purchase orders based on thorough analysis, ensuring compliance with supplier agreements.
- Oversee the procurement process, track order statuses, and guarantee timely deliveries.
- Assess and monitor supplier performance concerning quality, reliability, service, and pricing, fostering continuous improvement and optimization.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, engage in negotiations, and investigate alternative suppliers.
- Maintain robust relationships with suppliers, ensuring they fulfill the company's requirements and adhere to contractual obligations.
- Collaborate closely with departments such as sales, production, quality assurance, and finance to ensure a seamless supply chain that meets organizational needs.
- Proven experience in a similar procurement role.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and strategies, including single and multiple sourcing, as well as global and local sourcing.
- Fluency in both English and German.
- Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong aptitude for negotiation.
