Director of Automotive Solutions Engineering

We are looking for a seasoned and driven Director of Automotive Solutions Engineering to become a key member of the MCU Business Unit within Renesas' High Performance Computing Solutions Group. The successful candidate will be instrumental in steering a global team of system experts and will take charge of defining and developing innovative system solutions that elevate our product portfolio. This position will enhance our competitive edge and address the dynamic demands of the automotive sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Formulate and execute a detailed global strategy for system solutions targeting automotive applications.
- Supervise the design, development, and implementation of adaptable and scalable system solution frameworks.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to establish hardware specifications, requirements, and standards for automotive systems.
- Work in close partnership with global business development, regional marketing, and engineering teams to ensure the smooth integration of system solutions.
- Collect and analyze customer insights to guide product enhancements and new initiatives.
- Provide technical expertise and direction to both internal and external stakeholders regarding best practices in automotive electronics hardware architecture and emerging trends.
- Engage with key clients to grasp their future system needs and develop tailored solutions.
- Promote continuous improvement and innovation in system design and functionality.
- Lead and mentor a team of system solution engineers and professionals.
- Foster innovation in system solutions to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Continuously refine processes, methodologies, and technologies to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Over 10 years of experience in the automotive sector, with a concentration on MCU products and system solutions.
- Demonstrated success in leading global teams and managing intricate projects.
- Deep understanding of automotive electronics, embedded systems, and MCU technologies.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
