Senior Application Engineer for Automotive Solutions

Job Overview

As a key member of the MCU Tools and Ecosystem team, you will oversee the design and implementation of innovative evaluation and solution boards tailored for the automotive MCU series. Your role will involve close collaboration with customer engineering teams, as well as Renesas application engineering, marketing, and tool supply teams to define and develop new solution boards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate as a global team member to create cutting-edge automotive solutions for Renesas.
  • Work alongside Application Engineers and Product Marketers, as well as engage with customers and partners to develop comprehensive system demonstrators that integrate both software and hardware, including thorough documentation.
  • Deliver training sessions on applications to Field Application Engineers (FAE), Sales teams, Distributors, and customers.
  • Represent Renesas' technologies, products, and applications at technical seminars.
  • Manage the development and production of solution boards effectively.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 6 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong understanding of automotive system technical requirements with the ability to propose optimized products and solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of embedded microcontrollers, development tools, and ecosystems.
  • Proficient understanding of schematics, layouts, and digital components.
  • Driven to initiate and complete projects with a willingness to work in an international environment.
  • Excellent ability to comprehend technical requirements and customer expectations.
  • Basic knowledge of development and manufacturing costs for evaluating optimal system solutions for customers.
  • Leadership capabilities to guide project development and negotiate effective solutions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • A creative mindset and strong team spirit.
