Senior Application Engineer for Automotive Solutions

Job Overview

As a Senior Application Engineer within the MCU Tools and Ecosystem division, you will oversee the creation and implementation of innovative evaluation and solution boards tailored for the automotive MCU series. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping new solution boards, collaborating closely with customer engineering teams as well as Renesas' application engineering, marketing, and tool supply teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a vital member of a global team dedicated to developing advanced automotive solutions at Renesas.
  • Engage in collaboration with internal Application Engineers and Product Marketers, as well as external customers and partners, to design system demonstrators that integrate both software and hardware, accompanied by comprehensive documentation.
  • Deliver training sessions on applications to Field Application Engineers (FAE), Sales teams, Distributors, and customers.
  • Represent Renesas' technologies, products, and applications at technical seminars.
  • Manage the development and production processes of solutions.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 6 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficient understanding of automotive system technical requirements, with the ability to propose optimized products and solutions.
  • Extensive knowledge of embedded microcontrollers, development tools, and ecosystems.
  • Solid grasp of schematics, layouts, and digital components.
  • A proactive approach to initiating and driving projects to successful completion, with an openness to working in an international setting.
  • Strong ability to comprehend technical requirements and align with customer expectations.
  • Basic understanding of development and manufacturing costs for evaluating optimal system solutions for customers.
  • Leadership capabilities to guide project development and negotiate effective solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • A blend of creativity and teamwork spirit.
