Job Brief

The Solution Engineer plays a crucial role in helping Sphera meet revenue targets while assisting clients achieve their business objectives.

This position requires a deep understanding of software and technology solutions to help solve complex business challenges.

The Solution Engineer is part of the sales organization, supporting software sales in various activities throughout the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with prospective customers to understand their business objectives and identify potential solutions.
  • Conduct value assessments to help clients map their business pains to Sphera's solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop successful value propositions and internal business cases.
  • Deliver software demonstrations and technical presentations to showcase the benefits of Sphera's solutions.
  • Work closely with product management to gather feedback and drive innovation.
  • Liaise with implementation teams to ensure project success.
  • Support account executives and sales managers in developing sales strategies.
  • Coordinate and complete tender documentation, such as RFI, RFP, and RFQ.
  • Participate in marketing activities, including webinars, publications, and industry conferences.
  • Provide internal team support for training, technology maintenance, and subject matter thought leadership.
  • Travel 10-20% onsite to clients, with occasional international trips.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • BS/BA in engineering, environmental engineering, sustainability, or a relevant field.
  • Preferred experience with enterprise software in related domains.
  • Subject matter expertise in ESG topics, including sustainability, corporate reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Fluency in German and English.
