Business Development Specialist

Position Overview:

The Business Development Specialist plays a crucial role in the Field Sales division by generating qualified sales leads through effective engagement with marketing-generated inquiries, inbound interest, and targeted outreach. Collaborating closely with Account Executives, this role involves crafting strategic prospecting plans aimed at uncovering new business opportunities and expanding existing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and qualify sales opportunities through various channels.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to develop prospecting strategies for key accounts.
  • Manage small deals and renewals within designated territories.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen to assess and understand client needs effectively.
  • Build rapport with executives and business professionals to foster relationships.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in B2B enterprise software sales or business development.
  • Expertise in consultative selling and solution-oriented prospecting.
  • Proven ability to nurture and qualify marketing leads.
  • Experience managing a large territory and high lead volume while maintaining relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in account mapping and developing effective prospecting strategies.
  • Ability and willingness to make 50+ calls daily.
  • Self-directed with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
  • Resilient and capable of handling objections and rejections.
  • Thrives in a competitive team-oriented environment.
  • Quick to adapt and ready to contribute from day one.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience in selling enterprise software solutions, particularly in Business Intelligence or Analytics.
