Position Overview
Our Renewables division in Düsseldorf is seeking a qualified candidate to take on a pivotal role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and oversee the acquisition of early-stage renewable development projects and manage the divestiture of renewable portfolios exceeding 0.5-1 GW annually.
- Lead internal project teams and collaborate with external advisors to address project challenges and mitigate risks, ensuring successful outcomes.
- Negotiate transaction frameworks and commercial conditions with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Oversee joint ventures, partnership arrangements, and the management of acquired entities.
- Facilitate effective collaboration within the Renewables team, which includes developers, engineers, offtake managers, market analysts, and a network of external partners.
- Report directly to the Vice President of Asset Rotation & Partnering.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Significant professional experience in commercial renewables, corporate M&A, corporate finance, or similar roles.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, along with experience in leading project teams.
- Strong understanding of the economic factors influencing utility-scale solar PV and wind energy assets.
- A creative, open-minded individual with a sense of humor.
- A proven history of international work experience and an appreciation for cultural diversity.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
- Fluency in German and English; additional languages are advantageous.
