Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Renewables team in Düsseldorf. This role encompasses:
- Acquisition Management: Oversee the preparation and execution of acquisitions for early-stage development projects and manage the disposal of renewable projects or portfolios exceeding 0.5-1 GW annually.
- Team Leadership: Lead internal project teams and coordinate with external advisors to address project challenges and mitigate risks, ensuring successful project outcomes.
- Negotiation: Engage in negotiations regarding transaction structures and commercial terms alongside relevant stakeholders.
- Joint Venture Oversight: Manage joint ventures, partnership frameworks, and acquired entities.
- Collaborative Environment: Foster optimal collaboration within the Renewables team, which includes developers, engineers, offtake managers, market analysts, and a network of external partners.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A university degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in commercial renewables, corporate M&A, corporate finance, or similar roles.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to lead project teams.
- A solid understanding of the economic drivers behind utility-scale solar-PV and wind assets.
- A creative and open-minded approach, complemented by a good sense of humor.
- A track record of international work experience and an appreciation for cultural diversity.
- A willingness to travel internationally.
- Fluency in German and English; additional languages are advantageous.
