As a vital part of the German Financial Oversight team, you will assist your peers in delivering crucial financial insights to the leadership of the Packaged Gases division. Your role will encompass specific responsibilities in financial reporting, forecasting, strategic planning, and product cost assessment. The assignments you undertake will enhance your understanding of our industrial gases sector and necessitate collaboration with diverse business partners. Moreover, you will manage specific work packages within financial oversight initiatives aimed at refining financial workflows, monthly closing procedures, or data integrity. Your duties within the Finance Systems & Processes division for Europe West will involve supporting data analysis, aiding in financial system rollouts, and overseeing project management tasks for selected initiatives. These responsibilities will provide you with a solid grasp of the overall structure of a Finance organization and the framework of extensive financial projects.

What makes you exceptional

Commit to a minimum of six months to acquire comprehensive knowledge of our Finance & Oversight department. If you are a third-year undergraduate or a master's student in business management, finance, accounting, or a related field, we are interested in you. Preference will be given to candidates with at least one previous internship or student job experience during their academic journey. Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is essential, and familiarity with the German language is advantageous. Leverage your enthusiasm for analytical reasoning, data & systems, and articulating a well-structured narrative based on your findings. Thriving in a dynamic team environment and collaborating with financial stakeholders and other business units is where you shine. Proficiency in Excel is required, and you should be eager to enhance your skills in Power Query/Pivot/VBA/SAP. You are open to learning about the industrial gases sector through hands-on experience and have a strong interest in advancing your career in finance & oversight.

We are accountable for financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for the operations and sales divisions, playing a crucial role in meeting financial objectives. Additionally, we focus on the ongoing enhancement of all financial processes and are a key component of business initiatives. The Finance Systems & Processes division within Europe West is tasked with managing and optimizing financial systems and processes utilized throughout the region. Furthermore, we lead finance-related projects from start to finish, supporting our financial operations and the strategic vision of the organization.
