Position Overview

The EMEA Pharma Sales Manager will report directly to the Senior EMEA Sales Director. This role is pivotal in acquiring new clients, as well as nurturing and expanding relationships with existing Key Accounts within the pharmaceutical sector, in alignment with the company's strategic objectives. Success in this position requires a professional demeanor, strong business insight, and the ability to cultivate robust relationships with clients, prospects, and industry leaders. The EMEA Pharma Sales Manager is tasked with establishing and upholding the reputation of W. R. Grace & Co. as the preferred supplier in the pharmaceutical industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve designated targets for profitable sales volume, gross margin, and strategic goals within assigned accounts.
  • Manage and further develop strategic partnerships with Pharma Key Accounts in the region, including forging new commercial relationships within the pharmaceutical industry and building connections at all levels within the customer organization.
  • Proactively prospect, build, and manage the Pharma Sales pipeline through effective commercial execution.
  • Negotiate and support Supply Agreements, sustainability initiatives, and audit requests for pharmaceutical clients, collaborating with internal legal, sustainability, and quality teams.
  • Enhance profitability through a strategic mix of product offerings, pricing, and volume adjustments, while preparing and presenting proposals that clearly communicate customer value propositions.
  • Lead a strategic account planning process that establishes performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for each target account.
  • Maintain weekly updates on forecasts, opportunities, and key account data, while leading pre-call planning and documenting outcomes from significant customer meetings.
  • Coordinate with internal resources to ensure all logistical, financial, marketing, and legal requirements for sales in each territory are met to fulfill customer needs.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Organic Chemistry or Pharmacology.
  • Over 5 years of successful B2B sales experience.
  • Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
  • Results-driven with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven track record of establishing and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
  • Ability to comprehend and market a technical product portfolio effectively.
  • Excellent listening and teamwork capabilities.
  • A strong leader with high energy and motivation.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
  • Proficient in utilizing defined IT tools for effective information sharing, reporting, and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in sales or sourcing within the pharmaceutical or life sciences sectors.
  • Background in Key Account Management sales.
