Our Objective
  • Facilitate the establishment of our American branch, encompassing registration, compliance, and regulatory obligations. Steer the foundational phases of growth to guarantee a seamless launch of Circunomics in the USA.
  • Formulate and implement a detailed market entry strategy for Battery Lifecycle Management solutions in the USA, which includes pinpointing and engaging new market sectors, crafting sales and promotional initiatives, and nurturing connections with essential stakeholders.
  • Lead and supervise a team of sales, customer success, and account management experts to deliver outstanding service to our clientele and meet sales objectives.
  • Forge and sustain strategic alliances with pivotal entities in the battery sector, such as manufacturers, recyclers, and other stakeholders, to broaden the influence and reach of our Battery Lifecycle Management solutions.
  • Work in tandem with product development and engineering teams to guarantee the provision of innovative solutions tailored to the specific demands of the USA market, remaining at the forefront of industry trends and technological progress.
  • Advocate for the advantages of our solutions and illustrate the significance of a circular battery economy to propel the growth and development of the circular battery market.
  • Track market dynamics, competitor movements, and regulatory changes, adjusting our strategies and offerings to stay competitive and compliant in the US landscape.
  • Ensure adherence to EU regulations, data security, and privacy standards to uphold the integrity and safety of our clients' information.
  • Act as the representative of Circunomics in the USA, participating in industry gatherings, trade exhibitions, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and showcase thought leadership.
  • Establish and uphold a robust performance evaluation framework to monitor and assess the effectiveness of strategies, ensuring ongoing enhancement.
  • Collaborate with Management and the Head of Sales to synchronize strategies, exchange best practices, and guarantee a uniform customer experience across all territories.
Your Qualifications
  • Degree in engineering, MBA, sales, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a leadership capacity within the battery sector, executing automotive business, or marketing high-end technological solutions, ideally in a regional or national role.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with automotive and/or battery stakeholders, such as Mobility OEMs, tier-1 suppliers, system integrators, EV companies, energy storage firms, recyclers, or within the Second-Life Market of Lithium-Ion Batteries.
  • Proficient in managing intricate projects and achieving ambitious goals.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and lead a team effectively.
  • Familiarity with EU regulations and data security and privacy protocols.
  • Willingness to travel within the US and EU regions.
Additional Advantages
  • Experience in GreenTech startups, IoT, or Energy is a plus.
  • Knowledge in acquiring and managing key accounts.
  • Technical expertise is beneficial.
  • Interest in Automotive / Cars / Electric Vehicles is an asset.

About Circunomics

Circunomics, GmbH was established in 2019 in Mainz, Germany. The organization is at the forefront of the industry by providing a holistic battery lifecycle management solution. Co-Founders Felix Wagner and Jan Born are committed to creating a genuine circular battery economy to optimize every phase of battery life. Together with their team, they aim to inspire the transition of batteries from 1st-life in the automotive sector to 2nd-life in the energy domain, ultimately collaborating with recyclers to close the loop by reclaiming any remaining raw materials.

Circunomics has developed an AI-driven, B2B marketplace where cells, modules, and packs can be exchanged. Through the Circunomics Analytics product, sellers and buyers can gain a comprehensive understanding of their assets. From current State of Health to 2nd-life simulation, this product simplifies and enhances lifecycle management. Circunomics recognizes that lifecycle planning is intricate, and the Battery Matchmakers are dedicated to facilitating this process for their clients.

The company has received support from seed investors and business angels. The Series A funding round is anticipated to conclude in the latter part of 2024. Startup builder Next Mobility Labs, recycler TES, Orlen VC, and Dr. Peter Mertens (former Chief Technology Officer of Audi) are among the key contributors.

While numerous clients already exist in the US market, Circunomics is set to officially broaden its operations into the US by the end of 2024.

In 2023, Circunomics was honored with the esteemed 2023 Market Leadership Award by US-based Frost & Sullivan, recognizing it as the Best in Class within the European Circular Marketplace for the Battery Trade Sector.
