Position Overview

The Family Advocacy Program Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Family Advocacy Program (FAP) initiatives by providing essential administrative and analytical assistance. This position is integral to the coordination of services within the Army Community Services, focusing on prevention, education, training, and direct service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Family Advocacy Program Manager (FAPM) in the execution and management of all FAP initiatives, ensuring effective administrative and analytical support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of training programs related to Problematic Sexual Behavior-Child and Youth (PSBCY), Incident Determination Committee-Clinical Case Staff Meeting (IDC CCSM), Victim Advocacy, and New Parent Support.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and coordinate with various installation agencies as necessary.
  • Draft and implement Standard Operating Procedures, Memoranda of Understanding, and Agreements in accordance with Department of Army (DA) regulations.
  • Represent the FAPM in interactions with county and state agencies concerning FAP-related activities and agreements.
  • Analyze family violence statistics for reporting purposes and present findings to senior leadership.
  • Oversee quality control for FAP reporting structures, ensuring accuracy and completeness of reports.
  • Coordinate logistics, schedule meetings, and maintain calendars to support program operations.
  • Document and finalize meeting minutes for program-related discussions.
  • Maintain annual and monthly training rosters for the FAP.
  • Assist in the upkeep of certification files and preparation for certification reviews.
  • Provide initial client-facing triage to determine appropriate FAP referrals.
  • Facilitate the periodic DA installation certification process.
  • Conduct training sessions for DA and contractor personnel on IDC CCSM and PSBY-CY, ensuring compliance with DA directives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a social science or related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in family violence and administrative roles.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must obtain and maintain required security clearances and background checks.
