Head of Payroll

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Payroll to join our dynamic team. As the Head of Payroll, you will be responsible for managing the payroll operations for a large-scale organization, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for German employees of our multinational clients. You will also oversee a team of payroll professionals and collaborate with cross-functional departments to streamline payroll processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage and oversee the end-to-end payroll process for our German employees, including data input, calculation of wages, deductions, and statutory requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll activities.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration between payroll and related functions.
- Stay updated with changes in German payroll legislation, tax regulations, and employment laws, and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements.
- Lead and develop a team of payroll professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Resolve complex payroll-related queries and issues, ensuring timely resolution and excellent customer service.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and generate reports for management and auditing purposes.
- Work closely with external vendors and service providers to optimize payroll systems and processes.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy in payroll operations.
- Utilize SAP or other relevant payroll systems effectively and efficiently.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing payroll operations for a large-scale organization, with a focus on German payroll.
- Strong understanding of German payroll regulations, tax laws, and employment legislation.
- Experience with SAP payroll system is preferred.
- Excellent people management skills with the ability to lead and develop a team.
- Strong problem-solving and query resolution abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in German and English.
- Working Arrangement: This position offers a hybrid work model, with a minimum requirement of 3 days a week in Herzogenaurach.
Contract minimum of 6 months, with potential for extension.
