Job Description

  • Support the Program Manager in driving the efforts to create, revise, and maintain a detailed Drive and Retraction project schedule, with the support of a project scheduler, and activities as appropriate.
  • Support the Program Manager in driving the efforts to coordinate onsite installation and qualification activities.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects and team deliverables assuring consistency with project scope and objectives.
  • Effectively apply best practice methodologies and enforce project standards.
  • Proactively expose and mitigate project risk issues.
  • Support the Program Manager as required in managing the project budget, tracking resource requirements and forecasting costs.
  • Play a key role in supporting the creation and management of the project deliverables such as these examples: Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) plan, project RACI (roles and responsibilities), Value for Capital Checklist, Risk Analysis, and Parts Plan.
  • Provide input for weekly/monthly reports for management team.
  • Support the Program Manager in working with Procurement to assure appropriate documents are completed and signed.
  • Keep track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members.
  • Effectively facilitate regular team meetings with local and global network project groups.
  • Effectively communicate difficult/sensitive information in a tactful fashion.
  • Proactively manage potential team conflict and communication challenges.
  • Keep the GPR management teams informed of project status, risks and required changes.
  • Resolve and/or effectively escalate issues in a timely fashion.
  • Work with other Project Cost Controller regarding purchase requisitions and change notices to Purchase Orders (PO)s. Assume that approximately 10-15 POs or change orders would be entered.
  • Support project Sharepoint site. Work with project Admin to manage access to the site and also provide support as requested by Program Manager. This could include posting documents and maintaining documents on the site.


Skills Required

  • Previous successful medium to large project management leadership experience.
  • >3 years previous packaging experience.
  • Strong interpersonal management skills.
  • Working understanding of automation, engineering, packaging assets qualification and validation.
  • Knowledge of project management cost controls, planning and organization.
  • Good understanding and experience with project management capital delivery processes for projects. These attributes include an overall basic understanding of contracts and contracting, procurement, project forecasting and development and budget management, change order management, risk management within the Pharma / bio tech industries.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize a variety of tasks within a timeframe.
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills.
  • Previous experience working on complex projects within a global network environment.
  • Strong communication and documentation management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to interface with resources within the client, the OEM and CM
  • Basic working knowledge of SAP and Ariba
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint and collaboration sites
  • Analytical approach to address process flow, issues, tasks.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Advanced Level of written and Spoken English
  • Proficient in German


Experience Desired

  • Experience with managing large projects (>$10MM)
  • Knowledge of P6 schedules in order to better manage the project.
  • Ability to utilize Wrike to manage project aspects.
  • Previous experience in writing or working with business contracts.
