Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Package Manager to join our client's team in Frankfurt, Germany. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the mechanical aspects of various high-profile projects, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and cost management. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and clients to deliver outstanding project outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Management: Oversee site safety in collaboration with the project team and Safety Advisor. Manage the safety file, review contractor EHS documentation, and monitor site EHS performance.
  • Quality Assurance: Lead site QA activities with the QAQC department. Manage the mechanical package quality file, review contractor QAQC documentation, and ensure compliance.
  • Project Scheduling: Coordinate with the project team, consulting engineers, and clients to manage project schedules. Provide weekly progress updates.
  • Cost Management: Control costs related to mechanical packages, including labor, materials, plant and equipment, variations, and valuations. Collaborate with commercial teams.
  • Site Operations: Manage day-to-day site operations for the mechanical scope, ensuring seamless interfaces with other trades.
  • Subcontractor Management: Track subcontractor progress, conduct weekly meetings, and ensure manpower levels meet schedule requirements.
  • Snagging System: Oversee the "In Progress" snagging system, ensuring weekly punch lists are completed.
  • Documentation: Submit direct labor and subcontractor hours for centralized tracking. Maintain up-to-date sub-contractor safety documentation.
  • Meetings: Participate in site meetings, project reviews, engineering reviews, planning and coordination meetings, and handover meetings.
  • Project Closeout: Manage the closeout of all project items, including final accounts, O&M manuals, punch lists, safety files, QA files, and material relocations.
  • Reporting: Upload weekly progress reports to the project Filekey system. Highlight progress, concerns, and risks in internal and external reports.
  • Commercial Management: Conduct weekly commercial meetings to capture variations and issue costs to the client. Implement company procedures and handle change management effectively.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Package Manager or similar role.
  • Strong background in managing mechanical packages in large-scale construction projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of safety and quality management.
  • Proficient in project scheduling and cost control.
  • Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant project management software and tools.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve project goals.
