Job Title: Business Development Manager


Summary of the Job: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to lead our growth initiatives at our financial planning startup focused on expats in Germany. This pivotal role involves crafting and executing strategies to expand our client base, forging strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the financial planning landscape and a proven track record in business development. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Managing Director and other key members of the team to achieve our ambitious growth objectives.


Duties and Responsibilities:

-         Oversee and enhance our social media lead generation systems to ensure a steady flow of qualified leads.

-         Qualify and prioritize leads to ensure the sales team focuses on valued clients within our target market.

-         Organise and run online webinars to educate potential clients about our services and generate leads.

-         Establish and nurture relationships with key introducers, including partners, affiliates, and industry influencers.

-         Lead the development and execution of our B2B plans to create and sustain partnerships with SMEs.

-         Identify and implement strategies to enhance cross-selling opportunities within our existing client base.

-         Collaborate closely with the team to ensure alignment of business development strategies with sales goals.

-         Provide training and support to the sales team to enhance their effectiveness in converting leads into clients.

-         Regularly report on progress, challenges, and successes to the Managing Director and other stakeholders.

-         Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and establish connections.

-         Continuously seek ways to improve business development processes, strategies, and outcomes.

-         Stay abreast of industry best practices and integrate them into our business development efforts.


Reporting Structure: The Business Development Manager will report directly to the Managing Director.


Location: The role is remote based, allowing you to work from anywhere within Germany.


Working Conditions: The Business Development Manager role is a freelance position (with employment option after 12 months) requiring a commitment of at least 35 hours per week. Travel will be required for team conferences and client events to support business development activities and build strong client relationships.


Earning Range: The remuneration is performance based and will depend on the level of skill and effort applied to the role. You will benefit from the growth of the business as there is no cap on earning potential.

Qualifications:

-         Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is a plus.

-         Professional certifications in Business Development, Sales, or Financial Planning are a plus.


Experience:

-         Proven track record in developing and executing successful business development strategies.

-         Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in financial planning, is highly desirable.
