Are you studying a natural science course and interested in a final thesis with a strong connection to new technologies? Do you enjoy working at the interface between pre/development, production and quality?
Then an exciting field in the area of series integration of AI-based camera technology awaits you from October 4.
We, from the Assembly Technologies team, are part of the Center for Automotive Assembly Planning. In cooperation with other areas, we provide the latest and most innovative technologies for the final assembly of the automobile and ensure the maturity level up to the series launch. The technologies from our department are used in the Factory future factory, among others. In addition to many metrological topics, our team also deals with further issues from the areas of development and quality. We also develop innovative production methods and processes for high-quality applications in automotive assembly. As part of a current project for quality assurance in vehicle assembly, we are developing processes for the integration of AI-based camera technology.
Your tasks will include:
Literature research in the areas of integration of AI-based camera technology, interfaces of AI-based camera technology and training of AI models in camera technology Familiarization with the functionality and interfaces of AI-based camera technology for inspection applications in final assembly Planning requirements for series integration and actively contributing suggestions for optimizing processes Development of training concepts and a system for training the AI models Economic consideration of individual use cases for camera inspection technologyThe final topic will be determined in consultation with the university, you and us.
Qualifikationen Degree program: Natural sciences, engineering, technical or a comparable degree program Language skills: Confident written and spoken German and English skills IT skills: Confident handling of MS Office, CAD knowledge an advantage, willingness to familiarize yourself with new IT systems Personal skills: Affinity for technology and enthusiasm for camera technology, structured and goal-oriented way of working, analytical skills, committed way of working and strong teamwork skills, high level of communication skillsAdditional information:
