Overview
The Senior Project Manager will lead the coordination and strategic development of automation and digitalization initiatives within a complex IT environment. The role involves managing interdisciplinary teams, ensuring service delivery excellence, and supporting the implementation of digital and operational transformation projects across multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Service Development & Strategic Enablement: Lead the strategic planning and implementation of digital service offerings, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and operational goals.
• Project Governance & Reporting: Oversee project management tools and frameworks (e.g., Jira, MS Project) to ensure transparent progress tracking and timely reporting to all stakeholders.
• Vendor & Partner Coordination: Manage external service providers and subcontractors to ensure quality, compliance, and delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Documentation & Performance Evidence: Ensure that all project deliverables, service documentation, and performance records are complete, auditable, and compliant with internal standards.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as a primary liaison between technical and business units, maintaining clear communication with senior stakeholders and ensuring expectations are met.
• Risk Management & Crisis Intervention: Identify and mitigate project risks proactively; develop contingency and crisis management plans to safeguard project outcomes.
• Requirements & Change Management: Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and prioritization processes; translate business needs into technical specifications and oversee their implementation.
• Conceptual & Architectural Development: Contribute to the long-term conceptual design of unified digital architectures, supporting future scalability and standardization across systems.

Qualifications

• Education: Masters degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical or commercial discipline. (Equivalent vocational qualification with minimum 6 years of relevant experience will be considered.)
• Certifications: Valid certification in project management such as PMI, PRINCE2, GPM, or equivalent.
• Languages: Proficiency in German (C1) and English (B1) according to CEFR standards.

Experience Requirements

• Project Management: At least 6 years of experience managing large-scale IT or digitalization projects, including experience in:

• Reporting and controlling project progress.

• Using professional PM tools and methodologies.

• Leading stakeholder management at senior (C-level) interfaces.

• Service Development: Proven track record in designing and implementing IT service offerings or digital transformation programs.

• Domain Experience: At least 5 years of experience working in a structured organizational or governmental context, with strong understanding of operational IT service frameworks.

• Professional conduct and effective stakeholder interaction.
• Excellent verbal and written presentation abilities.
