Your main goal will be to build accurate, timely, and scalable finance and accounting operations that power n8n's hyper-growth while strengthening financial compliance and decision-making.

To do so, here are your responsibilities:

• Analyze and prioritize finance processes across accounting, receivables, payables, reporting, and financial operations for automation potential

• Collaborate with Finance and Operations stakeholders to gather requirements and design automation solutions

• Build, test, and maintain automations using n8n, ensuring reliability and scalability

• Monitor automation performance, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve efficiency

• Experiment with new automation tools, AI capabilities, and best practices to keep n8n's finance stack cutting-edge

• Document automations and contribute to a playbook that supports future scale and knowledge sharing

• Support day-to-day operations such as supplier onboarding, invoice processing, and documentation management

• Contribute to monthly reporting by supporting reconciliations, preparing analyses, and assisting with ad-hoc projects

• Educational Background: You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, finance, or a related field

• Analytical Skills: You're confident working with data (spreadsheets, SQL, or BI tools), spotting inefficiencies, and applying structured problem-solving

• Communication Skills: You can clearly communicate with peers and stakeholders in English

• Ownership & Reliability: You take initiative, manage your tasks independently, and deliver with precision and on time

• Programming & Automation: Basic experience with scripting (Python or JavaScript), APIs, and workflow automation tools (e.g. n8n, Zapier), ideally with AI

• German Language Skills: Basic fluency in German is a plus

• Tech Savvy: You're eager to learn new tools and apply automation for efficiency

• Async Work Proficiency: You're comfortable working in a remote-first, async-first environment

• Scaling Environment Mindset: You're motivated by working in fast-growing, evolving environments where processes are being built from scratch
