Intelligence Specialist

**Duties**: DUTY 1 - Formulates and provides foreign disclosure guidance, recommendations, intelligence engagement policy and agreements for the HQ USAFE-AFAFRICA staff and all subordinate units based on US policy interests in accordance with President of the United States (POTUS), DoD and US State Department policy directives, pertaining to European and African engagements. DUTY 2 - Develops and provides foreign disclosure policy and decisions for all USAFE-AFAFRICA Theater Security Cooperation (TSC) engagements with the SAF/IA, EUCOM, AFRICOM, US Central Command (CENTCOM) and USAFE-AFAFRICA field units. DUTY 3 - Advises the Command and subordinate units by providing expert interpretation of National Disclosure Policy-1 as it applies to foreign exchange and liaison officers assigned within USAFE-AFAFRICA theaters. DUTY 4 - Provides expert foreign disclosure advice to USAFE-AFARICA's FOIA Program Office. **Requirements**: **Conditions of Employment**: - U.S. Citizenship Required - All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period. - Must Obtain/Maintain Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI - PCS expenses are authorized. Will be paid IAW JTR and Air Force Regulations - Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide - This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing - Duties will require frequent unescorted entry into and temporary work within Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (a windowless, air-conditioned secure vault). - The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments - This is a Centrally Managed position. Mobility is a condition of employment. The employee must sign an Air Force-wide mobility agreement. - Disclosure of Political Appointments - Direct Deposit: All federal employees are required to have direct deposit - Advance in hire may be authorized if there is demonstrable proof provided on your resume - Duties are performed in a normal office setting. Work is primarily sedentary, normally performed at a desk in a fourth-floor office building. Offices are adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated - Employee is required to climb stairs (work areas have no elevators or escalators), to stand during briefing presentations, and to be capable of other physical requirements normally associated with work in a multi-story office building. - Duty beyond normal 0800 1700 is often required. The work is typically performed in an office setting with no unusual risks or discomfort. The employee observes normal safety precautions when working in and traveling away from the work site. - IAW DoDI 3020-42 this position has been locally or command designated as Mission Essential (ME); needed to ensure the continued operation of mission essential functions of the activity. - Emergency Essential: This position is emergency essential. In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent, or designated alternate, must continue to perform the Emergency -Essential duties until relieved by proper authority. - This position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the organization to function effectively. - This meets the criteria of an Emergency-Essential position and requires that the incumbent, or the designated alternate, be removed from any military recall status. **Qualifications**: **This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level.
