**Duties**: **DUTY 1**: Prepares FP/AT related finished intelligence analysis reports and provides focused FP/AT related analytical support to counterintelligence investigations and operations. **DUTY 2**: Assists in the direction, coordination, review and evaluation of FP/AT related counterintelligence activities within AFOSI and coordinates those activities with DoD and national-level agencies. **DUTY 3**: Represents AFOSI in USAF, DoD, and national-level working groups and committees. **DUTY 4**: Establishes and maintains a current series of liaison contacts with DoD and national-level agencies as an expert in the field of counterintelligence. **Requirements**: **Conditions of Employment**: - U.S. Citizenship Required - All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period. - Position is designated special-sensitive. Must be able to obtain and retain a Top-Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. - Travel and relocation expenses WILL BE PAID in accordance with the JTR AND AFMAN 36-606. - Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide - This position has been designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. - Incumbent is required to undergo a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination. - The incumbent must undergo an internal background investigation by AFOSI and must be approved for duty by the Commander of AFOSI or the Commander's designated representative(s). - Employee must maintain current certifications - Overtime may be required as workload demands and in some cases with no-notice due to urgency of time-sensitive matters. Periodic shift work may be required if assigned as a watch-standing analyst. - Advance in hire may be authorized if there is demonstrable proof provided on your resume. Leave accrual may be authorized upon request. - Mobility is a condition of employment. The employee must sign an Air Force-wide mobility agreement. - The work requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license is required for the position. - The incumbent must undergo an internal background investigation by AFOSI and must be approved for duty by the Commander of AFOSI or the Commander's designated representative(s). - Travel by regularly scheduled commercial or military conveyance in accordance with Joint Travel regulations may be required in performance of temporary duty. - Incumbent will occasionally be required on temporary duty throughout the world including to remote locations with limited facilities. - These temporary duty assignments could range from short duration to 179 days, and longer. - While every effort will be made to schedule these assignments well in advance of the travel, travel may be required with extremely limited notice. It is imperative incumbent have an unlimited ability to perform such travel. - Disclosure of Political Appointments **Qualifications**: - In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. - This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the 12 grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.- **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs**): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: - 1. Knowledge of the interplay of geographical, political, military, economic, and industrial forces in various regions of the world as well as intelligence and FP/A T threat entities, operations, and capabilities that may be directed against USAF, DoD, and other US resources. - 2. Knowledge of US intelligence community policies, entities, missions, resources, operations, capabilities, databases, and requirements to perform intelligence research planning, operations collection, target analysis, and other intelligence collection related activities. - 3. Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methodologies of intelligence analysis and research to include link analysis and database manipulation. - 4. Skill in producing finished intelligence reports and other products that are responsive to the specific needs of customers to include formulating and conducting original research; collating, organizing, and analyzing information; resolving conflicts; and presenting clear and concise findings. - 5.
