Intelligence Specialist

**Duties**: *** - **Recognized AOR expert on HUMINT operations as they relate to foreign military capabilities; represents DoD, the Air Force, and NASIC as a HUMINT operations expert on Service, DoD, and national-level working groups.** *** - **Serves as the expert HUMINT collector, planning and conducting operational meetings with all entities in the AOR.** *** - **Serves as the lead for quality control, ensuring the unit meets Squadron, DoD, and IC policies, particularly those addressing tradecraft, training, operational documentation, Intelligence Oversight, and intelligence reports.** **Requirements**: **Conditions of Employment**: - U.S. Citizenship Required - All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period. - Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide - Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays - Shift work and emergency overtime may be required - Employee must maintain current certifications - Disclosure of Political Appointments - Direct Deposit: All federal employees are required to have direct deposit - Advance in hire may be authorized if there is demonstrable proof provided on your resume - Mobility is a condition of employment. The employee must sign an Air Force-wide mobility agreement. - Employee must successfully complete a CI-scope polygraph examination. - Graduation from Defense Strategic Debriefing Course (DSDC) is required. - A Bachelor's Degree or course work in international relations, political science, aerospace engineering, computer science, or foreign language capability is highly desired. - A Master's degree is desired. - Employee will be required to travel frequently by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of temporary duty. - Position may be eligible for DCIPS STEM TLMS. **Qualifications**: **This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.** In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions - **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs**): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: - 1. Comprehensive knowledge of HUMINT collection methods, techniques, and practices in order to mentor unit HUMINT collectors, and ensure operations meet DoD and US Government policies and guidelines for effective, safe, and ethical HUMINT activity. - 2. Comprehensive knowledge of intelligence oversight, legal rights of US citizens regarding intelligence, and IC standards for operational coordination and de-confliction ofHUMINT operations. 3. Knowledge of advanced HUMINT methods to include the operational design, assessment, management, and debriefing of human sources of intelligence in a manner that efficiently answers US Air Force intelligence gaps. - 4. Knowledge of the national IC, Joint, DoD structure, organizations, and mission/functions, inter-relationships and operations; and skill in coordinating and de-conflicting operations with DoD entities, US Government agencies, and US Embassies. - 5. Skill in collecting and reporting information of intelligence value to DoD and IC consumers and tailoring day to-day work to meet intelligence requirements; skill in communicating effectively with national and DoD HUMINT counterparts, both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise proposals and reports, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes. - 6. Ability to maintain control of classified material, quickly assimilate disparate data, render knowledgeable and accurate assessments ofthe implications of such data, and make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure based on mature judgment and experience, and present and/or justify a position effectively. **CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONT'D**: 1. Position is designated special-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
