Your Opportunity

We are looking for a Collections Lead who wants to build together with us the next generation of financial services and make a dent in how businesses access capital in a fair and instant fashion.

For this role, we are looking for an experienced professional, who aims to combine collections management expertise, data, deep business understanding, and innovative thinking to build and operate a nascent approach to collections strategies.

With your deep business understanding, highly collaborative nature and profound belief in leveraging data and technology for better collections processes you will collaborate with data analytics, product and risk to define and build digital-first collections processes - all to solve a meaningful problem - fair and instant access to working capital. Moreover, you will build an outstanding dunning and collections team, guide the team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Tasks
- Design and set up collections strategies (pre-legal and legal collection) and decide on respective outsourcing rationales
- Show a deep understanding of collections processes, legislation & regulations, and industry best practices to establish digital-first collection processes
- Leading a strong dunning and collections team, monitoring team´s and system´s performance via KPI’s ensuring high service quality efficiency and compliant collections case handling
- Dunning: defining and iterating dunning strategies
- Evaluation, Integration and management of 3rd party providers to ensure effective and efficient collaboration along the full collections life-cycle
- Close collaboration with data science, product, and risk to support in establishing smart processes that preempt fraud and minimize defaults
- Preparing and delivering reporting on performance to internal and external stakeholders

**Requirements**:

- Min. 5 years of experience in collections at alternative lending, buy-now-pay-later, payment or collections agencies
- Ability and motivation of leading a successful dunning and collections team, great if you already have some experience in people management
- Strong conceptual and advanced analytical skills and a hands-on approach are mandatory
- Experience in business lending and Buy-Now-Pay-Later in the payments industry is strong a plus
- Able to navigate ambiguities in a fast-paced environment
- Autonomous, curious, collaborative, thinking outside of the box attitude, hands-on mentality
- English and German C1+
