Global Accounting Business Partner (f/m/d) - 223303

This position may be located in Europe or the United States.

**About the Role**:We are looking for a Global Accounting Business Partner (f/m/d) to join our Fabrics finance team. This individual will be a strategic accounting liaison between the business and Enterprise accounting teams, and partner closely with the Divisional Finance Leader, Divisional Financial Analysts, and Accounting Leaders.

This position will be located at a facility in Europe, with work from home days possible as part of a hybrid arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs. Although the position could be based in a Gore cluster in US East, US West or EMEA, this Associate will need to be flexible to accommodate primarily east coast time zone work hours, with occasional travel expected to the US Eastern Cluster. *

**Responsibilities**:

- Translate business requirements into accounting solutions (and vice versa) and validate business assumptions in accounting processes
- Manage complex issues such as acquisitions, divestitures, business curtailment, new business models, etc.
- Partner as needed with technical accounting on quarterly OOPs and other ad hoc matters
- Lead quarterly meetings with the business analysts to ensure there is an aligned understanding of all current and potential accounting issues
- Lead the annual representation letter process for the Fabrics Division
- Support all new business accounting requirements (Life Booster/Garments as a service)
- Provide ownership of the Fabrics Cost Center hierarchy including maintenance as well as creation of new accounts as needed
- Partner with other Accounting Business Partners to share best practices
- Support all month end efforts in support of the Fabrics business Verticals Adyen (monthly/weekly) reconciliations, AP and AR reconciliation SAP to E1, Customized Product Entry, Severances (if necessary), TVC Elim Entry (to make BDR correct), etc.
- Maintain Fabrics reporting CUBES and ensure consistency with all other reporting (i.e., FPR)

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant field
- Minimum of 8 years experience in finance/accounting roles, preferably including some experience in a leadership position
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Demonstrated ability to influence and balance technical and business solutions
- Demonstrated ability to communicate to diverse audiences and break complex information into understandable language
- Ability to effectively practice core people processes
- Ability to travel up to 10%

**Desired Qualifications**:

- CPA or equivalent
- Strong understanding of financial systems, business structures, and various Gore system linkages
