Founders Associate

**Your mission**:
VIDA is looking for a **Founders Associate - Finance & Strategy** (German speaker)** to become a key driver of our financial and strategic decision-making.

In this role, you will take full ownership of VIDA’s financial function. This includes managing budgets and forecasts, leading investor reporting, maintaining financial accuracy and compliance, and ensuring strategic resource allocation. You will serve as a key sparring partner to the CEO on all financial matters and play a critical role in shaping the company’s financial foundation.
In addition to core finance responsibilities, you will be involved in high-priority initiatives across the business, contributing to strategic planning, operational improvements, and cross-functional projects based on the evolving needs of the organization.

**Your responsibilities**:

- ** Finance operations & control**: Own and continuously improve our financial processes including invoicing, cash flow, payment runs, and internal controls.
- ** Financial planning & analysis**: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling to support key decisions across the business.
- ** Reporting & compliance**: Lead preparation of internal and external reporting, coordinate monthly and annual closing in collaboration with our external tax advisors.
- ** Risk management**: Identify financial risks early and proactively implement measures to ensure stability and resilience.
- ** Investor communications**: Prepare updates and presentations for our investors, support fundraising activities, and serve as a liaison for financial diligence
- ** Strategic projects**: Drive strategic initiatives and projects across departments — from cost optimization to business case modeling for new markets or products.
- ** Executive support**: Serve as a strategic sparring partner to the CEO - challenge assumptions, propose data-driven solutions, and help prioritize what matters most.

**Is it you we’re looking for?**:

- You hold a degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field - or bring equivalent experience.
- You have 2-4 years of experience in a high-performance finance or strategy role (e.g. startup, consulting, investment banking, FP&A).
- You bring a strong grasp of finance operations, accounting, and reporting practices - and know how to navigate tools like DATEV, Moss, and Google Sheets with ease.
- You think strategically, act operationally, and love solving complex problems proactively.
- You communicate clearly and confidently - both in German and English - and can tailor your message from internal teams to external investors.
- You thrive in autonomy and love taking ownership of your area while collaborating with others.
