THE JOB
The Director of Sales and Business Development, Germany is responsible for leading the sales strategy and execution within the German market. This pivotal role focuses on driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Working closely with the Managing Director, Germany, the Director will align sales strategies with overall business goals, set ambitious targets, and lead/develop a high-performing sales team. The Director of Sales, Germany is a visionary self-starter who thrives in ever changing business environments. A hands-on mentality to client acquisition and account management is a key element of success for this role.
Tasks
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Work with the MD Germany to define, implement and execute against the local sales strategy by leveraging data, industry trends and market insights.
- Translate global Goals and Strategies into local priorities, to ensure alignment and consistency.
- Planning and execution of key client meetings, events and conference presence to acquire, grow and retain new and existing partners.
- Formulate, build and drive go to market strategies for new and existing products.
- Develop and implement strategies to retain and grow existing clients, leveraging products and services that drive ticket sales.
- Develop and own client-level business planning including but not limited to account strategy creation, profitability analysis forecasting.
- Continuous coaching and development of team members to ensure operational excellence and individual growth.
- Become part of the local leadership team and an external key stakeholder for our key client base.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (i.e. Marketing, Fan Support, Finance, etc.) to ensure objective alignment across business units and a continuous flow of information.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Proven track record of successful sales leadership in high performing business environments.
- Ability to manage and complete multiple projects and priorities at the same time and effective prioritization.
- Demonstrated experience in Business / Client growth, including acquisition and development of existing clients.
- Excellent understanding of the German entertainment industry, including on
- and offline trends and developments.
- Hands on experience with CRM / Sales Tools, especially Salesforce.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be fluent in German with strong English skills.
- Experience in leading and unifying remote teams.
- An already established network within the Live Entertainment industry is a bonus, but not essential.
