**About This Role**:
Veranex has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Director, Business Development. This individual will be responsible for selling Veranex services (Regulatory, Clinical, and Quality) across Europe. As a member of the Business Development team at Veranex, you will be part of a team working to improve lives globally through medical technology innovation and you will impact the success of the organization by driving sales of company solutions and services to prospective and current customers.

**What You Will Do**:

- Generates sales to new customers and cross-, up-, and repeat sales to existing customers.
- Demonstrates passion and enthusiasm for company’s vision and drives enthusiasm for organization’s work.
- Assesses customer needs and recommends appropriate products, services, and/or solutions.
- Develops and delivers sales bids/proposals/presentations.
- Develops short
- medium
- and long-term sales plans and prepares strategies to protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with targeted customers.
- Networks, develops potential leads, and follows through to bring in new business.
- Coordinates with operations leaders to create specific solutions for potential clients.
- Collaborates with Marketing to create messaging that promotes brand value.
- Development of a strong pipeline of clinical projects (FIH, early feasibility, feasibility, pivotal, post-market) for Veranex, typically multi-year studies providing substantial and predictable revenue.
- Building awareness and establishing credibility globally of Veranex’s capacity and capabilities
- Prospecting and networking to generate leads and identify prospective new clients, engaging with prospective clients, completing proposals, and closing sales.
- Creates formal networks with key decision makers and serves as an external spokesperson for the organization.

**Qualifications**:
**Required skills**:

- Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum of 12 years of experience of demonstrated success in sales generation and achieving high-growth sales targets
- Strong knowledge of regulatory affairs, quality systems and clinical trials and selling services within this space. Experience selling medtech services.
- Ability to collaboratively work in a matrixed environment with leaders of operational and financial functions, as well as business development leaders from other Veranex businesses and functions including Strategic Partnering and Marketing
- Experience with designing/quoting international studies
- Goal-driven with a sense of urgency
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and strong level of professionalism and presentation skills
- Strong financial and analytical skills

Preferred
- Subject matter expertise in clinical/CRO operations
