Dynapac North America LLC is looking for a Director of Sales for their rental channels as well as for Development.
**Job description**:
This position will have within his/her scope the RENTAL Channel Sales and National account development responsibility for capital equipment within North America. Responsible for the overall management and development of the rental channel with the aim of optimizing the existing network in conjunction with partnering with new partners in order to grow Dynapac's market share. This includes open territories as well as potentially segmenting existing territories as needed. Must have an entrepreneurial spirit and strong customer focus. This position reports to the President and Regional General Manager.
**Responsibilities & Mission**:
- Supervise the day-to-day responsibilities of the RSMs and National account to ensure compliance with company goals and objectives and overall territory development.
- Promote the company and foster better customer relations by traveling with RSMs and NAMs to existing authorized distributors, prospects, national accounts, and preferred accounts. Focus on the promotion of sales and marketing programs, new products, service, and sales training, as well as resolving rental distributor and end user issues.
- Set performance and business objectives for Independent and National team and conduct annual and/or “as needed” performance appraisals as to the achievement of stated sales objectives.
- Recruit, recommend, hire, develop and evaluate performance for all direct reports. Mentor and coach, the team member in territory management and commercial negotiations.
- Channel Development: Assist RSMs with the identification of high potential markets; locate, recruit, establish and develop distributors within these identified markets. Facilitate the establishment of a full company channel specific product line representation.
- Authorized Distributor Development: Assist RSMs with the development of current and new distributors through the implementation of established business initiatives (whole goods and retail sales, rental fleet, service support, inventory planning, training) and take action to assist in the implementation of these initiatives.
- National Account Development: Assist NAMs with improving current and new national accounts fleet planning initiatives (rental fleet, service support, training) and take action to assist in earlier implementation of these initiatives.
- Recommend and assist with the development of sales policies, programs, methods, advertising and promotional ideas, trade show participation, sales goals, marketing campaigns, etc.
- Provide input into the development of quarterly sales programs in accordance with company goals and objectives. Review and coordinate the administration of such programs with the assigned RSMs and independent rental distributors.
- Oversee the development of sales and market-based information, that is necessary to prepare internal reports which enable senior management to make well-informed business decisions.
- Communicate company policies and procedures to the team menber and Independent Manufacturer Representatives IMRs to ensure compliance with the annual IMR Agreement(s). Provide feedback as necessary for any changes required to stated policies.
- In conjunction with the Marketing department's national advertising and co-op sponsored programs, direct and coordinate target marketing efforts through the promotion of Company sponsored retail and aftermarket support programs.
- Report customer complaints to service; recommend corrective action and consult with the Service and Solutions team to recommend and influence changes which will lead to improved customer satisfaction.
- Develop and disseminate market information and suggest solutions to problems regarding product types, trends, competitive market share, specifications, and state and local restrictions. Collect and analyze data on end user requirements, industry trends and competitive activities for product recommendations.
- Develop and participate in conducting new product introductions, rental distributor/customer product information meetings, trade shows and special events.
- Negotiate annual national account contracts aligning pricing, terms and conditions, rebates, remarketing allowances, warranty reimbursement, and shipping allocations to company's annual budget
