Information Technology Specialist

**Duties**: - Serves as Senior IT Specialist (SYSADMIN) Virtualization Systems Administrator and lead analyst for the Regional Cyber Center-Europe (RCC-E) Systems Management Branch. - Provides design, management, and improvement to the enterprise VMware vSphere infrastructure. - Serves as an Information Technologist Specialist performing work, independently and as a member of a team, in the administration, development, delivery and support of information technology (IT) systems and services. - Serves as the Systems Administrator responsible for managing all aspects for the virtualization system architecture. - Provides daily system administrator support as needed for all enterprise servers. - Reviews, interprets, and executes Department of Defense, Headquarters Department of the Army, and command policies and guidelines for data, and system security including Defense Information Systems Agency - Security Technical Implementation Guides. **Requirements**: **Conditions of Employment**: - Three year trial/probationary period may be required. - This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required. - This position requires the individual to hold IA Technical level 3 certification under DoD Directive 8570.1 (IA Training and Workforce Management) and related implementing policies. - The Personnel Security Standard of this position is IT Level 1 under AR 25-2 Information Assurance. - Incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete the appropriate training and obtain the required certification/recertification for this position as outlined in DoD Publication 8570.01-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, - dated 19 December 2005 (incorporating Change 1, 15 May 2008). - May be required to carry a Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) cellular device. - Must possess and maintain a valid stateside driver's license. - Must be able to obtain and maintain a USAREUR Driver's license within 60 days of employment. - Position requires employee to successfully complete locally identified recurring Information Assurance Security training. - This position is DoD 8140-03-M, IAT 3; and requires the applicable Computing Environment (CE) certifications. Commercial Computing Environment certifications accepted/obtained within first 6 months of employment. - This position has been designated "Mission Essential".
