Supervisory Information Technology Specialist

**Duties**:

- Develop and execute concepts, programs and plans; establishes priorities and requirements; and provides guidance and direction.
- Responsible for preparation of IT and business policy and procedural governance, and project development IAW regulatory guidance. Develops and reports estimates of budget requirements to higher management.
- Manage human resources, career/training management, logistics management, to include supply/property book, command supply discipline, and warehouse management where required.
- Supervise a multi-discipline staff responsible for providing technical, administrative, program management, and staff work involved in policy/planning of information technology (IT) services, logístical and business operations.
- Assign work to employees based on selective considerations of such factors as the difficulty and requirements of assignments; availability, capability, and special qualifications of employees; and workload.
- Develop and enforce sound governance, ensuring compliance with written policies, instructions, and standard operating procedures.

- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET eligibility with access to Sensitive Compartmented information (SCI). The IT Level for this position is IT I. Position is designated as Special Sensitive, IT-II.
- Must successfully pass urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter IAW AR 600-85 Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an IAM-Level II certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M within 6 months of appointment to the position.
- One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.

**Who May Apply: US Citizens**Specialized Experience**:One year of specialized experience which includes providing cyber response services to an organization; assisting in the development of defensive countermeasures or threat/vulnerability analysis OR mitigating/remediating new and emerging threats to the network; presenting finalized reports and action items to management for approval; providing direct cyber security customer support. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
- The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:
