The Opportunity
This position plays a crucial role in driving business growth and development within the Abbott Diabetes Care division. As a Strategic Partnerships Manager EMEAP, you will be responsible for establishing and launching co-operations with external partners, assessing business development opportunities, and leading efforts to bring EMEAP/global contracts to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to select, establish, and launch co-operations with external partners.
- Conduct continuous assessments of the overall business development, future trends, and competitive landscape.
- Lead efforts to drive country launch readiness and ensure executional excellence across EMEAP affiliates.
- Work with senior strategic partnerships managers, global business development, and the legal department to negotiate EMEAP-wide term sheets and contracts with partners.
- Select potentially interesting partners, prepare business cases, and obtain approval to work on co-operations.
- Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders, including marketing, commercial, and EMEAP affiliates.
Qualifications & Skills
- Relevant business, legal, or life-sciences university degree.
- At least 5 years of previous relevant experience within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in product launches and business development.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Previous experience in contract negotiation and business development is preferred.
- Knowledge of the healthcare or medtech industry, ideally the diabetes sector.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver on communicated timelines and objectives.
- Fluency in written and spoken English, with knowledge of a second language desirable.
- Willingness to travel within Europe, Middle East & Africa and US (max 20%).
